NEWS:  THE NORTH HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING PROGRAM HAS RECEIVED THE National RAMP AWARD in accordance with our INDIANA GOLD STAR COUNSELING AWARD!!  This award is based on meeting state standards and recommendations. 





Welcome to the North High School Counseling Corner! This is your source for up-to-date information regarding counseling activities and important dates for students. Separate sections include the Junior-Senior Bulletin for college information specifically for juniors and seniors and the Senior Scholarship Bulletin just for seniors. The information in those two sections is also provided weekly to homeroom teachers, to be read to students and posted.



We will be meeting with seniors in small groups to explain the college and scholarship application process during the first week of September.

To access our COIN career program at home: Use our Links section.  Username is the students first initial and entire last name, password is the student's school id#, site ID is IN15407. Parents can sign into their section by using their student's id# with a "P" at the end. There is an endless supply of information on this site.



Junior/Senior College Night will be Tuesday, September 22nd for parents and students to learn about the college search and application process, as well as scholarship info. We will utilize the computer lab to show parents our website and other helpful sites. Another lab will be used to assist students in developing a resume’ and in essay writing for college and scholarship applications.


Financial Aid Night for parents of seniors will be on Thursday, Jan. 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center & Dining Center. A college financial aid representative from UE will provide information regarding paying for college and for completing the FAFSA for state and federal assistance. We will utilize the computer lab to help parents understand how to complete the FAFSA online.



Students may not change first semester electives once school begins in August.  Second semester changes may be made until the last day of the first semester.
