8TH GRADE STUDENT AND PARENTS
The holidays are rapidly approaching and that means we have to start thinking about freshman enrollment. I will be meeting with the eighth grade students and their parents to put together the best schedule possible for each child. The meetings will be scheduled between December 1, 2009, and January 5, 2010. They will last approximately thirty minutes. These meeting are most successful if the student and parent can meet together.
You can call the office at 867-6426 and make the appointment with Cindy. I look forward to meeting each of you as we plan the next step in your child’s education.
Thank you,
Mrs. Sue Schriber, Counselor

“THANK-A-TEACHER” – HOLIDAY EDITION
QUESTION: During this holiday season, how can we show our appreciation to our child/children’s teacher, day care provider, principal, or other favorite school staff member?
ANSWER: You can express your “thank you” to an outstanding educator by contributing to the Public Education Foundation of Evansville, Inc. in his/her honor.
“Thank-A-Teacher” contributions to the Public Education Foundation are returned to the schools in the form of grants. Individual teachers, schools, and administrators are invited to apply each year. Just this fall, PEF awarded $9,800 to 19 classroom enrichment projects in EVSC schools using funds received through last year’s “Thank-A-Teacher program.
Won’t you consider honoring your child/children’s teacher(s) or school staff member by contributing to the “Thank-A-Teacher” program? Upon receipt of your contribution, the foundation will send a special card to the honored person congratulating him/her on being recognized by your family and sending them your best wishes for a happy holiday season. Donation amounts are confidential.
Please send your tax-deductible contribution check with the form below to:
